This may be a serious reptile condition: tail rot. If tail rot is not treated promptly, necrotic tissue and bacterial infection may spread upward along the tail vertebrae and can even lead to life-threatening septicemia. This article explains the causes, signs and veterinary treatment of tail rot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Is Tail Rot in Bearded Dragons?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tail rot refers to tissue death at the end of a bearded dragon&#8217;s tail caused by impaired blood circulation or severe bacterial or fungal infection, resulting in oxygen deprivation and necrosis of the tail tip.
